Singleness and The Methodist Church

Reverend MIriam Moul gave one of the standout presentations to Synod in May of 2025.

It set out some powerful observations, real life vignettes and searching questions.

How do we as a church treat those who are single?

Miriam spoke from a very personal perspective and encouraged Synod to discuss their experiences and attitudes and reflect on what they might change or add to their circuit community.

We're extremely pleased to say that some of the key elements from Miriam's presentation are here and available for you to learn and grow from.

Please take some time to read through the PowerPoint presentation that's on this page and watch two short videos that were shown on the day.
